Objects[]
Sayu Photo Booth[]
- Mayday: "Hey! It’s one of those picture booths I’ve heard so much about! This one even lets me pretend to take pictures with Sayu! Wait, why would I want that?"
- Zuke: "I heard these things were once all the rage, but now, they’ve been regulated to only the Akusuka district... I guess we have Sayu to thank for that."
Old Sayu Concert Poster[]
- Mayday: "It’s an old poster of Sayu... very cute. Wait I didn’t say that. Okay maybe I did."
- Zuke: " It’s an old Sayu concert poster. It seems to be plastered over an even-older poster but I can’t make out what band it was anymore..."
Old VK Promo Poster[]
- Mayday: " “Ex-Jay Weekend - The Performance of the Century!”... I sure hope we don’t end up like that. That last show only had 5 paying customers…"
- Zuke: "There used to be rock performances all over until NSR appeared. It seems there isn’t much room for diversity under NSR..."
Old Game Cover[]
- Mayday: "I never knew Sayu was part of a group! I wonder whatever happened to them..."
- Zuke: "NSR didn’t start promoting digital idols in Vinyl City too long ago, yet, this almost feels like an ancient relic..."
Sayu Snacks[]
- Mayday: "I remember the day they brought over the tiny Vinyl City factory that made these. The mom-and-pop couple was so happy, but I kinda miss the packaging for Sheriff Bob’s Barley Shots."
- Zuke: "Sayu-brand-snacks... does Sayu even eat these? She’s completely digital, right?"
Trivia[]
- Akusuka 108 refers to Asakusa and other department buildings from Tokyo, Japan.
- Akusuka is a Malay phrase meaning "I like/my love," and is a play on Akihabara District from Tokyo, Japan. It could also be a play on the word acoustics, going along with the music theme of the game[1]
- In the Sayu gift shop, there are copies of a game called "Doki Doki Mermaid Club". This is a reference to the indie visual novel game, Doki Doki Literature Club.
- Mayday also questions the whereabouts of Sayu's friends, since they are not talked about. This is an unrelated nod to how the main antagonist of DDLC, Monika, deletes her friends.
- The visual-kei band, Ex-Jay, have their fates undisclosed besides disbanding.
