Overview

Joey is a character who hangs around outside the Boss areas after you finish their fights, and he speaks of knowing what true music is whenever you speak with him. He mainly serves as a function of unlocking the difficulty settings should you want to repeat bosses with harder modes.

Appearance

He is shown to be a man with pink skin, olive yellow eyes, and short dark purple hair with a full beard. He wears a yellow shirt with a smiling sun, cyan jeans, and some white and blue sneakers. He is also shown to be holding green, cyan, and red Record Sleeves, with the red one having an orange star on it and the green one with a red starburst on it.

Personality

He appears to be stuck up with many negative opinions of the NSR artists' music, claiming that they are boring as is. He believes his remixes are better by far.

Trivia

• Joey first made an appearance as a character design concept, after the Japanese dub trailer was released, under the name Music Elitist. He is the first non-playable character to be introduced in the official game, before being re-introduced in the #StarsofVinylCity event.
  • He is the third character to be introduced in #StarsofVinylCity outside of the concept art; the previous being Kliff and Amal the Unicorn respectively.
  • Joey is also the 11th character to be introduced in this event.
• Joey is the first character to have the same voice actor in more than one dub. In this case, Joey Bizinger provides his voice for both English and Japanese dub.
